Membership

Being a member of CHS means being part of the larger Anglican community in Singapore, which includes 27 Anglican parishes within Singapore and 3 parishes located in Indonesia.

A baptised and confirmed member of CHS has:

  • * Voting rights at our Annual General Meeting.
  • * You will also be given an opportunity to be a part of the decision-making body of the Church if you are elected to the Parochial Church Council (PCC).
  • * Access to the pastoral team for their help and counsel.
  • * Access to the Church facilities, such as the Sanctuary for weddings, etc.

How does one become a member of the CHS?
One must first be baptised and confirmed. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and are interested in joining CHS, please reach out to any of the pastoral staff or call the office during weekday hours at 6289 6313 for information on the required baptism and confirmation classes.

Membership transfer to CHS:

  • From an Anglican Church,
    • Email your full name and email address to info@chs.org.sg
    • Church office will send you a link to fill up the transfer form.
  • From another Denomination,
    • Write to your pastor requesting the transfer and send a copy of the letter to:
      • Vicar, Chapel of The Holy Spirit, 3, Sorby Adams Drive Singapore 357690
    • Church office will send you a link to fill up the transfer form.

Other Matters

Wakes & Funerals

  • Please call the CHS office ☏ 62896313 and you will be put in touch with the relevant pastoral staff who will guide you on the funeral arrangements.
  • In case of an emergency and the CHS office is closed, you may contact the CHS’ emergency number ☏ 6289 6313.
  • The CHS pastoral staff may assist you in contacting a casket company and follow up on the following:
    • date & time of cremation or burial for the deceased
    • pastoral staff conducting the evening wake services & funeral service
  • The casket company will advise you on the other details.

House Blessing

  • Approach the pastoral staff of the congregation that you belong to.
  • You may also contact the CHS office ☏ 62896313 for assistance.

Visitation

  • For homebound and hospitalisation visits, either inform the congregational pastoral staff or contact the CHS office ☏ 62896313.

What do you do if you have a problem?

Guidelines for Carparking on St Andrew’s Junior College

  • All CHS members who drive their cars to park at SAJC car park during services or attending official functions are to have a valid CHS Carpark label which must be prominently displayed on their car windscreen.
  • To apply for a CHS carpark label please contact the church office ☏ 62896313 and fill in the prescribed form available at the office.
  • CHS or SAJC cannot be responsible for your vehicle parked in the car park.
