| GET SERIOUS WITH GOD! |
|
Shalom! I suppose deep reflections are done when one reaches sunset years. Joshua was no exception as he not only reflected on how God brought him and the people of Israel to inherit the promised land but also felt the need to remind his people who they will following. It was not about himself. It was about God lest they stop being serious with Him. (Joshua 24) "Choose you this day whom you shall serve"; Joshua challenged the nation of Israel. "As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD" Joshua resolutely confessed to the nation of Israel and setting an example and tone for the people of Israel. It wasn't at hindsight that Joshua decided to serve the LORD. It was and had been his whole life. He wouldn't have been militarily successful had he relied on his own wisdom. What about us? Are we waiting to God to prove Himself to you before you will declare the you will serve the LORD? I pray not. I pray that you will continue to take God seriously. Seizing every opportunity for evangelism is non-negotiable if you are serious with God. If you missed the platform to invite your friends to the Family Day, I hope you will seize the next opportunity - CHRISTMAS! Look out for more details how your cell can hold an evangelistic cell Christmas celebration. It is time to get serious with God, i.e. if you have not. pastor
