Chapel of The Holy Spirit

Let me state a caveat :  I got more questions than answers!

Let me begin.  It has been 30 years since my firm decision in 1979 at SAJC to rededicate my life to Jesus Christ and to follow Him.  All those who were in my first Sunday School bible class are still faithful Christians and disciples of Christ, except one whom the Lord took him home in his late twenties.  Two are full-time ordained priests.  

Yet, recently I heard a disturbing news from a youth pastor that some ex-SERVERS (young leaders who went thru' a 3-month discipleship course) from other churches are behaving like there is no God in their lives. What happened to them?  Was it because the hype has evaporated for them?  Sorry, I don't mean to judge.  But, this is the reality when we are focused on converts and not committed Christians (disciples).

Discipling is non-negotiable.  Small group challenges commitment.  Small groups need matured disciple to disciple them.  But, alas, where are these matured disciple?  Are you one of them?

The Children ministry is asking for 2 male teachers who would avail themselves to teach the children.  Maybe, the BREAKTHROUGH MEN seminar may cause our men to take up their rightful positions in the kingdom of God?

The Youth ministry is asking for adults volunteers to mentor the teenagers.  Not many have responded.  Why?

The Young Adult ministry has many YAs that did not have the benefit of having a mentor or spiritual father in their growing years.  I thank God for those who are still in CHS.  Many have left, possibly unchurched.  It is said that the best time to grow a tree was a few years ago... and the next best time to grow that tree is TODAY!

If you are an adult, you can make a difference in the lives of children, youths and young adults!

Are you a disciple of Christ?  If so, disciple others!  In small groups!
